Plectrohyla quecchi Stuart, 1942, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 455: 1. Holotype: UMMZ 89086, by original designation. Type locality: "Stream in Barranca Las Palmas about 2 km. north of Finca Los Alpes (43 km. east and slightly south of Cobán (straight line), Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Altitude, about 1015 meters".

Common Names

Las Palmas Spikethumb Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 62).

Distribution

Cloud forest at elevations of 615–1850 m on the slopes of the northern highlands in Guatemala from the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes to the highlands of Alta Verapaz and the Sierra de las Minas.
