Open areas and forest edges in the eastern Brazilian Amazonia, in the state of Pará, within the Xingu-Tapajós Interfluve, and north of the River Amazon in the state of Amapá.

In the Scinax nebulosus complex, where it was formerly confused with Scinax nebulosus, according to the original publication, where comparative adult morphology, morphometrics, advertisement call, and distribution were detailed.
