Sphaenorhynchus prasinus Bokermann, 1973, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 33: 589. Holotype: WCAB 46499, by original designation; now in MZUSP. Type locality: "Centro de Pesquisas do Cacau, Ilheu [sic], Bahia, Brasil".

Common Names

Bokermann's Lime Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 65).

Distribution

East-central Minas Gerais and north through eastern Bahia to Alagoas, Pernambuco, and eastern Paraíba. Seemingly no records from Sergipe, but expected there.

Similar to Sphaenorhynchus planicola according to the original publication. Santos and Moura, 2009, Herpetol. Rev., 40: 362-363, provided a range extension to Pernambuco and commented on the range. Silva, Luna-Dias, and Carvalho-e-Silva, 2013, Check List, 9: 1519–1520, provided a range extension to Alagoas, Brazil, and commented on the range. Dubeux, Silva, Nascimento, Gonçalves, and Mott, 2019, Rev.
