Megaelosia apuana Pombal, Prado, and Canedo, 2003, J. Herpetol., 37: 453. Holotype: MNRJ 26057, by original designation. Type locality: "fountainhead of Rio Jucu (20° 26′ 16 S; 41° 01′ 21 W; approximately 1200 m), next to the Parque Estadual da Pedra Azul, Municipality of Domingos Martins, State of Espírito Santo, Brazil".

Distribution

Known from Espíritu Santo (Municipality of Domingos Martins and Parque Nacional do Caparão, and possibly the Municipality of Santa Teresa); also reported from Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Mata do Sossego, municipality of Simonésia, eastern Minas Gerais, all localities in Brazil.
