Kassina jozani Msuya, Howell, and Channing, 2007 "2006", Afr. J. Herpetol., 55: 115. Holotype: BMNH 2005.1576, by original designation. Type locality: "near the newly constructed guest-house close to the proposed Jozani-Chwaka National Park office (06° 16.273′ S; 39° 25.102′ E, 50 m)", Zanzibar, Tanzania.

Jozani Running Frog (Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 140). 

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in Jozani Forest on Zanzibar Island, Tanzania.

Natural Resident: Tanzania

Endemic: Tanzania

Comment

According to the original publication, Kassina jozani is the sister-taxon of a group composed of Kassina parkeri, Kassina cochranae, and Kassina cassinoidesChanning and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 140–141, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
