Common Names

Schiøtz's Running Frog (Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 138).

Distribution

Ivory Coast and extreme southeastern Guinea to northern Ghana, southern Togo, and northeastern Liberia; expected in southwestern Burkina Faso.

Geographic Occurrence

Natural Resident: Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Togo

Likely/Controversially Present: Burkina Faso, Liberia

Confused with Kassina maculata and Kassina cochranae prior to its description. Channing, Rödel, and Channing, 2012, Tadpoles of Africa: 238, provided information on comparative larval morphology. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 138–139, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map. Segniagbeto, Ohler, Rödel, Luiselli, and Dubois, 2024, Zoosystema, 46: 650, provided a brief account for Togo, discussing habitat, distribution, conservation status, and identification.
