Kassina schioetzi Rödel, Grafe, Rudolf, and Ernst, 2002, Copeia, 2002: 801. Holotype: SMNS 09703.5, by original designation. Type locality: "Comoe National Park, Aussichtsbergtumpel 1, 8° 45′ N, 3° 49′ W, Ivory Coast".

Common Names

Schiøtz's Running Frog (Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 138). 

Distribution

Ivory Coast and extreme southeastern Guinea; expected in northwestern Ghana, northeastern Liberia, southwestern Burkina Faso.

Natural Resident: Guinea, Ivory Coast

Likely/Controversially Present: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Liberia

Comment

Confused with Kassina maculata and Kassina cochranae prior to its description. Channing, Rödel, and Channing, 2012, Tadpoles of Africa: 238, provided information on comparative larval morphology. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph.
