Semnodactylus wealii (Boulenger, 1882)
Cassina wealii Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 131. Syntypes: BMNH ("several spec."), by original designation including animal figured on pl. 11, fig. 7 of the original publication; BMNH 1879.6.5.8–15 (now reregistered as 1947.2.9.91–98) are syntypes according to museum records. Type locality: "Vleis [= grassy marshes], Kaffraria", Rep. South Africa.

Type(s): Not designated, although stated to be in SAM; now in PEM according to Lambiris, 1988, Lammergeyer, 39: 128, and PEM A6289 according to Conradie, Branch, and Watson, 2015, Zootaxa, 3936: 63, who discussed the holotype. Type locality: "Cape Peninsula", Western Cape Province, Rep. South Africa; corrected to "Capetown", Western Cape Province, Rep. South Africa by Hewitt, 1927, Rec.
