Type locality: "the artificial lake at Museo de Ciencia y Tecnología of Mérida city (former “Central Azucarero Los Andes”, CALA), Mérida state, Venezuela, 1320 m.asl, geographic cordinates WGS84: 8°33’44”N, 71°11’25”O".
