Holotype: ZSM 223/2022, by original designation. Type locality: "Makira Reserve, “Camp 900 m” (15.1780° S, 49.6244° E, 891 m a. s. l.), northeastern Madagascar."

Known from the type locality on eastern slope of the Makira Reserve, at a local campsite named “Camp 900 m”, northeastern Madagascar.
