Distribution
Known only from its type locality Huanglianshan Nature Reserve, Lyuchun County, Yunnan Province, China, near the border with Vietnam, where it likely will be found.

Comment
Most closely related to Leptobrachella feii according to analysis of 16s mtDNA according to the original publication where adult morphology and natural history were detailed.
