Leptobrachella batxatensis Hoang, Pham, Phan, Do, Wang, Jiang, and Nguyen, 2025, Asian Herpetol. Res., 16: 177. Holotype: IEBR A.5223, by original designation. Type locality: "VIETNAM: Lao Cai Province, Bat Xat District, 22°35′50.40″ N, 103°39′17.37″ E, 1 328 m a.s.l., in evergreen forest". No ZooBank registration so DRF is unclear on the publication status/validity of this article; minimally it will take the date of publication of the distribution of the paper version.

Known only from Bat Xat Nature Reserve in Lao Cai Province, Vietnam, ca. 1328 m elevation.

Comment

Comparative morphology and molecular markers detailed in the original publication, where this species was noted to be most closely related to Leptobrachella shiwandashanensis and Leptobrachella wuhuangmontis in China.
