Distribution

Known only from bamboo forest near streans at the type locality, Chishui National Nature Reserve, Chishui City, Guizhou Province, China at elevations between 270–604 m.

Comment

The sister taxon of Leptobrachella bijie, according to the original publication. The distinctiveness of this species from Leptobrachella bijie was questioned by Wang, Qi, Dai, Lyu, Zeng, Chen, Li, Zhao, Wang, and Wang, 2022, Zoosyst. Evol., Berlin, 98: 176, on the basis of morphological and call similarity but refrained from making the synonymy pending molecular work.
