Type locality: "on wet rock at edge of 3–4 m wide stream in evergreen forest at Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam (14.2193º N, 108.3171º E, 985 m; ...).

Common Names
Similar Litter Toad (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 30).
Distribution
Mid-high elevations (ca. 650–1100 m) in the western and southern slopes of the Kon Tum Plateau of central Vietnam and adjacent northeastern Cambodia; expected in adjacent southeastern Laos.
Geographic Occurrence
Natural Resident: Cambodia, Vietnam
Likely/Controversially Present: Laos
Comment
The sister taxon of Leptolalax firthi according to the original publication. Chen, Poyarkov, Suwannapoom, Lathrop, Wu, Zhou, Yuan, Jin, Chen, Liu, Nguyen, Nguyen, Duong, Eto, Nishikawa, Matsui, Orlov, Stuart, Brown, Rowley, Murphy, Wang, and Che, 2018, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 124: 169, provided a record for Virachey National Park, Ratanakiri, Cambodia.
