Leptobrachella itiokai Eto, Matsui, and Nishikawa, 2016, Raffles Bull. Zool., 64: 198. Holotype: KUHE 55895, by original designation. Type locality: "Sungai Tapin on Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak, Malaysia (Borneo) (04°02’19”N, 114°55’04”E, 1,445 m asl)".

Common Names

Itioka's Dwarf Litter Frog (Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 155).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality, Sungai Tapin on Gunung Mulu, state of Sarawak, East Malaysia.

Natural Resident: Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)

Endemic: Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)

Comment

The sister taxon of Leptobrachella parva according to the original publication. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 155–156, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
