Leptobrachella jinyunensis Shi, Shen, Wang, Jiang, and Wang, 2023, Asian Herpetol. Res., 14: 76. Holotype: CIB 119039, by original designation. Type locality: "Jinyun Mountains, Beibei District, Chongqing Municipality, China (29.8242°N, 106.3863°, ca. 393 m a.s.l.) when calling under small rock in a small mountain stream".

Jinyun Mountain, Beibei District, Chongqing, China and Huaying Mountain, Sichuan, China, 343 to 937 m elevation, near to small stream heads and mountain streams under evergreen broad leaf forests.
