Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Mount Laoxiangshan, Gaoming District, Guangdong Province, China, 250 to 1400 m elevation).

The sister taxon of Leptobrachella yunakaiensis according to the original publication, where diagnostic morphology and 16s mtDNA markers were detailed.
