Leptobrachium natunae Günther, 1895, Novit. Zool., 2: 501. Syntypes: Number and deposition not stated, although inferred to be BMNH, including 1947.2.25.15, 17–18 (formerly 1895.5.1.109–112) according t0 museum records. Type locality: "Great Natuna [Island]" (= Pulau Bunguran Besar), Indonesia.

Südostasiens: 68–69, to compare this species with other megophryids in the Sunda Shelf region. Herlambang, Riyanto, Munir, Hamidy, Kimura, Eto, and Mumpuni, 2022, Treubia, 49: 78, discussed the species from Bunguran I., Natuna Is., Indonesia.
