Leptobrachella puhoatensis — Chen, Poyarkov, Suwannapoom, Lathrop, Wu, Zhou, Yuan, Jin, Chen, Liu, Nguyen, Nguyen, Duong, Eto, Nishikawa, Matsui, Orlov, Stuart, Brown, Rowley, Murphy, Wang, and Che, 2018, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 124: 162, by implication.
English Names
Pu Hoat Litter Toad (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 31).
Distribution
Known only from Pu Hoat Nature Reserve in Nghe An Province, Vietnam, 1123–1352 m elevation; probably extends further into adjoining areas such as the adjacent forested areas in Nghe An Province as well as parts of eastern Huaphanh Province, Laos.
Comment
The sister taxon of Leptolalax petrops according to the original publication. Hoang, Nguyen, Luu, Nguyen, and Jiang, 2019, Raffles Bull. Zool., 67: 555, reassigned the record from Pu Hu Nature Reserve, Than Hoa Province, Vietnam, to Leptobrachella namdongensis.
