Distribution
Known only from a small montane area within Chu Yang Sin NP, Dak Lak Province, southern Vietnam, at elevations of ca. 1800 m.

Comment
Comparaitve morphology and molecular markers (16S rRNA) detailed in the original paper, where the species was assigned to the Leptobrachella applebyi species group, considered to be conservation-vulnerable, and noted to have been previously confused with Leptobrachella bidoupensis.
