Known from the type locality (Jinzhuzhai Village, Tongbiguan Town, Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, China, 1,615 m elevation) and from the Mu Cang Chai Species and Habitat Conservation Area, Yen Bai Province, northern Vietnam.

Le, Do, Tran, and Nguyen, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28: 219–224, provided a record from Mu Cang Chai Species and Habitat Conservation Area, Yen Bai Province, northern Vietnam, and discussed the range.
