Distribution
Eastern Northern Laos in Xam-Nua District and Hiem District, Houaphan Province, and Kham District, Xiangkhouang Province); reported from several localities within Son La Province, northern Vietnam. 1000 to 1670 m elevation.

Natural Resident: Laos, Vietnam
Comment
Pham, Le, Pham, Nguyen, Ziegler, and Nguyen, 2016, Rev. Suisse Zool., 123: 35–43, reported the species from Son La Province, Vietnam, and described the advertisement call. Stuart, Seateun, Sivongxay, and Phimmachak, 2025 "2024", in Wildlife Lao PDR: 34, summarized literature, taxonomy, habitat, and detailed range for Laos.
