Leptobrachium (Vibrissaphora) masatakasatoi Matsui, 2013, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 32: 183. Holotype: KUHE 34396, by original designation. Type locality: "Phu Pan, Ban Saleui, Houaphan Province, northeastern Laos (20° 12′ N, 104° 01′ E, alt. 1750 m)"

Masatakasato’s Eyebrow Toad (Pham, Le, Pham, Nguyen, Ziegler, and Nguyen, 2016, Rev. Suisse Zool., 123: 36).

Laos Spadefoot Toad (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 33).

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Phu Pan, Ban Saleui, Houaphan Province, northeastern Laos) at 1750 m elevation; reported from several localities within Son La Province, northern Vietnam. 1000 to 1670 m elevation.

Natural Resident: Laos, Vietnam

Comment

Pham, Le, Pham, Nguyen, Ziegler, and Nguyen, 2016, Rev. Suisse Zool., 123: 35–43, reported the species from Son La Province, Vietnam, and described the advertisement call.
