Choerophryne bickfordi Kraus, 2018, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 131: 54. Holotype: USNM 581331, by original designation. Type locality: "Wara So’Obo Camp, 7 km N Wabo, 6.90838S, 145.06118E, 120 m a.s.l., Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea".

Known only from the type locality (7 km north of Wabo) at 120 m elevation in the lowlands of Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea.
