Choerophryne epirrhina Iannella, Oliver, and Richards, 2015, Zootaxa, 4058: 333. Holotype: SAMA R67920, by original designation. Type locality: "un-named camp in upper Sepik River basin, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea (4°39.185’S, 141°43.448’E; 850 m a.s.l.)".

Asterophrys epirrhina — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 477, by implication.

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (camp in upper Sepik River basin, West Sepik Province, 4°39.185’S, 141°43.448’E) in primary foothill rainforest on the northern side of Papua New Guinea's central cordillera at 850 m elevation.
