Choerophryne longirostris Kraus and Allison, 2001, Herpetologica, 57: 225. Holotype: BPBM 13813, by original designation. Type locality: "southern slopes of Mt. Menawa, 8.5 km N, 13 km E of Utai Aerodrome, vicinity of Agpo Creek, 3.312° S, 141.700° E, 950 m elevation, Bewani Mountains, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea".

Asterophrys longirostris — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 477, by implication.

Known only from the type locality on the southern slopes of Mount Menawa, Bewani Mountains, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea.
