Choerophryne multisyllaba Günther and Richards, 2017, Zoosyst. Evol., Berlin, 93: 270. Holotype: SAMA R70322, by original designation. Type locality: "Iagifu Ridge near Moro, Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea (06°26.4864’S, 143°13.1040’E; 1,413 m asl)". 

Asterophrys multisyllaba — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 477, by implication. 

English Names

None noted. 


Known from two locations: the vicinity of the type locality at elevations between about 1300– 1400 m on Iagifu Ridge in the Agogo Range, Southern Highlands Province, and at 1600 m at Sawetau Camp in the Muller Range, Western Province), both in the central mountains of Papua New Guinea.
