Cophixalus cateae Richards and Günther, 2019, Salamandra, 55: 56. Holotype: SAMA R71378, by original designation. None noted.
Distribution
known from the type locality on Iagifu Ridge at the eastern edge of the Agogo Range in Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, and from approximately 22 km to the north-west in the Moran area of the Agogo Range, where calls of this species were also heard; habitat at both of these localities is extremely wet, mossy lower-montane rainforest on limestone karst substrates at altitudes between 1400 and 1800 m elevation.
