Cophixalus hosmeri Zweifel, 1985, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 182: 321. Holotype: QM J42058, by original designation. Type locality: "Mt. Lewis, 6 km west, 9 km north of Mt. Molloy (town), Queensland, elevation 980 m ... by a forestry camp 11.7 km along a road that passes west from a junction 3 km north of Julatten on the Mossman to Mt. Molloy Road", Australia.
