Cophixalus humicola Günther, 2006, Herpetozoa, Wien, 19: 70. Holotype: ZMB 69705, by original designation. Type locality: "on the Waira Mountain, 15 km linear distance NE of Serui, altitude 670 m a.s.l., 1° 47′ S and 136° 30′ E, Yapen Island, Papua Province of Indonesia".

Distribution
Waira and Amoman Mountains northeast of Serui (Yapen Island, Cenderawasih Bay) at altitudes from 500 to 1150 m elevation, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.
Comment
Most closely related to Cophixalus tridactylus and Cophixalus bewaniensis according to the original publication. Pyron and Wiens, 2011, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 61: 543–583, confirmed this result.
