Cophixalus tridactylus Günther, 2006, Herpetozoa, Wien, 19: 61. Holotype: ZMB 62338, by original designation. Type locality: "in the Wondiwoi Mountains 7 km west of the coast of the Umar Bay, base of the Wandammen Peninsula, 540 m a.s.l., 2° 58′ S and 134° 38′ E, Papua, Province of Indonesia".

Distribution

Eastern slopes of the Wondiwoi Mountains at the base of the Wandammen Peninsula between 400 and 800 m elevation, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.

Comment

Most closely related to Cophixalus humicola and Cophixalus bewaniensis according to the original publication. Ferreira, Oliver, Kraus, Günther, Richards, Tjaturadi, Arida, Hamidy, Riyanto, Trilaksono, Thébaud, and Fouquet, 2025, Frontiers Biogeograph., 18(e137988): 1–15, suppl. files, suggested that the nominal species is a complex on the basis of molecular and acoustic data.
