Mantophryne insignis Günther and Richards, 2016, Zoosyst. Evol., 92: 113. Holotype: SAMA R69237, by original designation. Type locality: "on the slopes of Talpos Mountain, Woodlark Island (. . .), Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea (9°09.364’S, 152°46.495’E, 180 m a.s.l.)". 

Asterophrys menziesi — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 510, by implication. 

English Names

None noted. 


Known only from the vicinity of the type locality but presumably widespread in lowland rainforest on Woodlark Island, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea.

Most similar to Mantophryne lateralis according to the original publication.
