Distribution
Known only from the type locality in swampy forest floor at Rani Jheel in Namdapha National Park, Arunachal Pradesh, India.
Comment
The sister taxon of the Microhyla zeylanica group (Microhyla darreli, Microhyla karunaratnei, Microhyla laterite, Microhyla sholigari, and Microhyla zeylanica) according to the original publication. Biju, Garg, Kamei, and Maheswaran, 2021, Zootaxa, 5082: 600, made several minor corrections to the original paper.
