Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Nanxi Town, Hekou County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China; Hai Phong, Ha Nam, and Ninh Binh provinces, northern Vietnam.
Geographic Occurrence
Natural Resident: China, People's Republic of, Vietnam
Comment
External morphology, coloration, and molecular markers discussed in the original publication. Nguyen, Liu, Tran, Tran, Trofimets, Dau, and Poyarkov, 2024, Herpetozoa, Wien, 37: 111–121, discussed the diagnostic characters of the species and confirmed records from Cat Ba National Park, Hai Phong, Vietnam, and Cuc Phuong National Park, Ninh Binh, Vietnam. Pham, Nguyen, Phan, Le, Pham, and Pham, 2025, Biodiversity Data J., 13 (e159973): 1–25, reported the species from Ha Nam Province, northern Vietnam (south of Hanoi) and briefly discussed the range and ecology in Vietnam.
