Microhyla marmorata Bain and Nguyen, 2004, Copeia, 2004: 508. Holotype: AMNH 161364, by original designation. Type locality: "Po-mu Mountain, Huong Son Reserve (now known as Huong Son Forestry and Service Company), Huong Son District, Rao An Region, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam (18° 20′ 53″ N, 105° 14′ 38″ E, elevation 1010-1080 m)".
Microhyla pulverata Bain and Nguyen, 2004, Copeia, 2004: 513. Holotype: FMNH 254122, by original designation. Type locality: "Buon Luoi village, 20 km northwest of Kannack (Kannack coordinates: 14° 20′ N, 108° 36′ E), An Khe District, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam, (700-750 m elevation)". Synonymy by Gorin, Solovyeva, Hasan, Okamiya, Karunarathna, Pawangkhanant, de Silva, Juthong, Milto, Nguyen, Suwannapoom, Haas, Bickford, Das, and Poyarkov, 2020, PeerJ, 8 (e9411): 31.

Distribution
Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Thanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Binh Dinh, and Thua Thien-Hue Provinces in Vietnam; also in adjacent Laos in Khammouane, Xekong, and provinces.
Comment
Confused with Microhyla (now Nanohyla) annamensis prior to its description according to the original publication. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 45, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Bain, Nguyen, and Doan, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 107, provided a record from Thua Thien-Hue Province, Vietnam, and briefly discussed the range. Pham, Nguyen, Hoang, and Ziegler, 2016, Herpetol. Notes, 9: 35, provided a record for Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, and commented on the range. Gorin, Solovyeva, Hasan, Okamiya, Karunarathna, Pawangkhanant, de Silva, Juthong, Milto, Nguyen, Suwannapoom, Haas, Bickford, Das, and Poyarkov, 2020, PeerJ, 8 (e9411): 1–47, placed this species in their Microhyla (now Nanohyla) annectens group. Brakels, Maury, Phimmachak, and Nguyen, 2021, Herpetol. Rev., 52: 792, provided records from Xaychamphone District, Bolikhamsai Province, and Dakcheung District, Xekong Province, southeastern Laos. Duong and Ngo, 2022, Herpetol. Notes, 15: 751–762, discussed range in Vietnam and provided records for Binh Dinh Province.
