Type locality: "the forest floor at Wollumbin (Mt Warning) National Park, 28° 23’ 55” S, 153° 17’ 01” E, north-eastern New South Wales", Australia.

Comment

The sister taxon of Assa darlingtoni on the basis of molecular evidence and distinguished by morphology and call according to the original publication. Cutajar, Portway, Gillard, and Rowley, 2022, Tech. Rep. Aust. Mus. Online, 36: 7, provided a polygon distribution map.
