Mixophyes coggeri Mahony, Donnellan, Richards, and McDonald, 2006, Zootaxa, 1228: 55. Holotype: QM J79551, by original designation. Type locality: "Pilgrim Sands, Cape Tribulation, Queensland, Australia, 16° 04′ S, 145° 28′ E".

Wet Tropics World Heritage Area (WTWHA) of northeastern Queensland, Australia, from lowland and upland areas in the north to the Paluma Range in the south.
