Litoria callista Kraus, 2013, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 126 : 152. Holotype: BPBM 40128, by original designation. Type locality: "along stream on S slope of Mt. Trafalgar, 9.2340°S, 149.1541°E, 223 m, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality at 220 m elevation on the southern slope of Mount Trafalgar, Cape Nelson, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea.

Comment

In the Litoria gracilenta group according to the original publication. Donnellan, Mahony, Esquerré, Brennan, Price, Lemmon, Lemmon, Günther, Monis, Bertozzi, Keogh, Shea, and Richards, 2025, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 204(2: zlaf015): 1–80, assigned the species to Chlorohyla, on the basis of morphology and noted that this requires genetic confirmation.
