Hylella longicrus Boulenger, 1911, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 8, 8: 55. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.22.60–61 (formerly 1909.4.30.17 [Wendessi] and 1909.10.30.24 [Fak Fak]) according to Condit, 1964, J. Ohio Herpetol. Soc., 4: 91. Type locality: "one from Fakfak and the other from Wendessi", Vogelkop Peninsula, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.

English Names

Wendessi Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 59).

Distribution

Known only from two localities on the Bird's Head, Eastern mountains and Vogelkop Peninsula, as well as upper Sepik River region, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia; controversially from the Star Mountains of extreme western Papua New Guinea.
