In the Cyclorana-Eremnoculus clade of Donnellan, Mahony, Esquerré, Brennan, Price, Lemmon, Lemmon, Günther, Monis, Bertozzi, Keogh, Shea, and Richards, 2025, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 204(2: zlaf015): 1–80, who noted that this taxon is equivalent to the Litoria eucnemis group of Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 1–47. Anstis, 2026, Tadpoles & Frogs Australia, 3rd Ed.: 368–377, provided accounts for the Australian species, including adult and larval morphology, natural history, and polygon distribution maps.
