Distribution
Northern Dem. Rep. Congo (Parc National de la Garamba) thought Central African Republic to the Adamaoua Plateau, central Cameroon, in savanna; expected in South Sudan and southernmost Chad.

Discussed by Perret, 1979, Bull. Soc. Neuchatel. Sci. Nat., 102: 18. The sonogram published by Amiet, 1974, Ann. Fac. Sci. Cameroun, 18: 112, as that of Ptychadena grandisonae is of this species according to Perret, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 476. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 334–335, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
