Southern Torrent Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Known from the southern state of Johor, Peninsular Malaysia, where it has been confirmed to occur in Endau-Rompin National Park and Bantang River Amenity Forest. It is presumed to occur more widely in suitable habitats in the surrounding southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.

Previously confused with Amolops larutensis according to the original publication. Chan and Brown, 2020, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 190: 65–78, reported on landscape genetics. In the Amolops larutensis group of  Wu, Yan, Stuart, Prendini, Suwannapoom, Dahn, Zhang, Cai, Xu, Jiang, Chen, Lemmon, Lemmon, Raxworthy, Orlov, Murphy, and Che, 2020, Mol.
