Common Names
Beautiful Cascade Frog (original publication).
Distribution
Known with certainty from the type locality in Latpanchar, Darjeeling District, West Bengal, at elevations of 1,000 to 1,135 m elevation. Likely to occur more widely within the Darjeeling region, at least in other suitable hill stream habitats nearby.

Comment
A member of the Amolops gerbillus clade and (along with an unnamed sister clade) the sister taxon of Amolops nepalicus, according to the original publication, where molecular markers (16S mtDNA), morphometrics, and comparative larval and adult morphology were detailed. Larval characteristics summarized on Table S10.
