Distribution
Known from peninsular Malaysia at the type locality and east of the Titiwangsa mountain range including Gunung Stong Forest Reserve, in the state of Kelantan; Lata Tembakah, Lata Belatan, and Sekayu Recreational Forest in the state of Terengganu; and Sungai Lembing, Sungai Pandan Waterfall, and Chemerong Amenity Forest in the state of Pahang; likely extending into extreme southern Thailand.
Comment
Previously confused with Amolops larutensis according to the original publication. Chan and Brown, 2020, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 190: 65–78, reported on landscape genetics. In the Amolops larutensis group of Wu, Yan, Stuart, Prendini, Suwannapoom, Dahn, Zhang, Cai, Xu, Jiang, Chen, Lemmon, Lemmon, Raxworthy, Orlov, Murphy, and Che, 2020, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 144 (106701): 1–13, who discussed molecular phylogenetics. In the Amolops larutensis group of Jiang, Ren, Lyu, Wang, Wang, Lv, Wu, and Li, 2021, Zool. Res., Kunming, 42: 574–591.
