Comment
Removed from the synonymy by Wang, Lyu, Qi, Zeng, Zhang, Lu, and Wang, 2020, ZooKeys, 995: 143–158, where it had been placed by Boulenger, 1920, Rec. Indian Mus., 20: 217. They suggested that this name was not a synonym of Amolops marmoratus, but possibly a senior synonym of Amolops panhai but did not resolve the issue. It is clear that the systematics of Amolops near to Amolops marmoratus remains deeply problematic. Dever, Fuiten, Konu, and Wilkinson, 2012, Copeia, 2012: 57-76, did not address this taxon.
