Distribution
Known only from the high-gradients stream at the type locality in Ngoc Chien Commune, Muong La District, Son La Province, northwestern Vietnam, 2125 m elevation.
Comment
The sister taxon of Amolops tuberodepressus according to the original publication. In the Amolops mantzorum group of Jiang, Ren, Lyu, Wang, Wang, Lv, Wu, and Li, 2021, Zool. Res., Kunming, 42: 574–591.
