Amolops shillong Saikia, Sinha, Shabnam, Lyngkhoi, Pdah, and Dinesh, 2025, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, 125: 114. Holotype: V/A/NERC/ZSI/2049, by original designation. Type locality: "Umthlong, Mawlai (25.595801 N, 91.866721 E, 1432 m asl), Shillong, East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, India".
Common Names
Shillong Cascade Frog (original publication).
Distribution
Currently known from two adjacent localities; Umthlong, Mawlai and Umrynjah, Mawlai in Shillong located in the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya, northeastern India.

Natural Resident: India
Endemic: India
Comment
In the Amolops indoburmanensis species complex, the sister taxon of Amolops siju according to the original publication, where adult morphology and molecular markers were detailed.
