Distribution

Currently known from four localities in Trashigang District, and possibly in Trashiyangtse District, eastern Bhutan (1520 to 2073 m elevation), and likely into Tawang District, Arunachal Pradesh, India.

Comment

Previously confused with Amolops mantzorum and Amolops himalayanus according to the original publication where comparative morphology, coloration, genetic markers, natural history, and relevant literature were reviewed in detail as well as assignment to the Amolops viridimaculatus group.
