Distribution

Known from Zhongshan City, as well as from Mount Gudou, Shangchuan Island, Ehuangzhang Nature Reserve, and Yunkaishan Nature Reserve, all situated in the coastal hills of western Guangdong, as well as southeastern Guangxi, China.

Evol., 146 (106753): 1–9, and Wu, Yan, Stuart, Prendini, Suwannapoom, Dahn, Zhang, Cai, Xu, Jiang, Chen, Lemmon, Lemmon, Raxworthy, Orlov, Murphy, and Che, 2020, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 144 (106701): 1–13, who discussed molecular phylogenetics. In addition, Wu, Yan, Stuart, Prendini, Suwannapoom, Dahn, Zhang, Cai, Xu, Jiang, Chen, Lemmon, Lemmon, Raxworthy, Orlov, Murphy, and Che, 2020, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 144 (106701): 1–13, reported the species from Guangxi, China, and Sa Pa, Vietnam (now reassigned to Amolops shihaitaoi). See comment under Amolops ricketti.
