Comment
Removed from the synonymy of Hylarana darlingi by Conradie, Keates, Verburgt, Baptista, and Harvey, 2023, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 17: 19, where it had been placed by Laurent, 1964, Publ. Cult. Companhia Diamantes Angola, 67: 132, and Perret, 1977, Rev. Suisse Zool., 84: 843. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 388–389, provided a brief account as Amnirana sp. 'green'. Reported from central Angola by Ceríaco, Marques, and Bandeira, 2016, Anf. Rept. Parque Nac. Cangandala: 51 (as Hylarana cf. darlingi). See comment under Hylarana darlingi for access to literature prior to 1923 where this species, Hylarana adiscifera, may have been conflated. Conradie, Keates, Verburgt, Baptista, and Harvey, 2023, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 17: 49–51, provided an account and dot map of the species in Angola.
