Comment
Very similar to members of the Sylvirana nigrovittata complex and previous confused with that species according to the original publication, although basal in Sylvirana. Decemson, Gouda, Lalbiakzuala, Lalmuansanga, Hmar, Mathipi, and Lalremsanga, 2021, J. Threatened Taxa, 13: 17918–17929, provided a record from Dampa Tiger Reserve, Mizoram, India. Lalronunga, Vanramliana, Sailo, Zosangliana, Lalmuanpuia, Lalhmangaiha, Sailo, Lalrinchhana, and Lalhmingliani, 2021, Zootaxa, 4952: 596–600, implied that all record of Indosylvirana nicobariensis from India and Bangladesh are referrable to this species, although confirmation is required. See comment under Indosylvirana nicobariensis, with which this species has been extensively confused. Zug, 2022, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 653: 40, briefly discussed identification, habitat, and range in Myanmar. Decemson, Sinate, Biakzuala, and Lalremsanga, 2022, Herpetol. Rev., 53: 260, provided a record from Mulobem, Manipur, India. Nath, Lalremsanga, Mathipi, and Sinha, 2023, Reptiles & Amphibians, 30(e18173): 1–3, reported the species from Senkili Bosti, Lower Chimpu, Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary, Papumpare District, Arunachal Pradesh, India, and discussed the range.
