Common Names
淮源林蛙 (Huaiyuan Brown Frog) (original publication).
Distribution
Between 111 and 611 m in elevation on the eastern fringes of the Funiu Mountains, specifically along the northern slopes of the Tongbai–Dabie Mountain range where the headwaters of the Huaihe River’s mainstream and its tributaries originate, Henan, China.

In the Rana chensinensis group according to the original publication, where molecular markers (mtDNA) and morphology were discussed and a dot distribution map provided.
